Janus Youth Programs

Janus Youth Programs operates over 20 community-based programs in both Oregon and Washington with the vision of providing a community where “every child, youth, and family has a safe place to live, prosper and achieve the life they envision.” For youth in residential care, struggling with poverty, disconnected from their families, or staying in a homeless youth shelter, the holidays are some of the most difficult days of the year. Since 1995, RBC Wealth Management has ensured that youth in various Janus’ residential programs that are “home” to youth for 2-3 years have a holiday season to remember.

American Lung Association

Since 2017, RBC Portland has been a supporter of the American Lung Association by taking part in their annual fundraisers; the Fight for Air stair climb and Reach the Beach bike ride. Both events raise funds for the ALA and goes towards community-based education programs, advocacy for cleaner air standards and life-saving research. We climb and ride for all of those who struggle daily with asthma, COPD, and other lung diseases and all our mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, children, and friends who are diagnosed with lung cancer. Our team has been named Top Corporate Fundraising Team more than once and RBC has been a proud sponsor of the events since 2019.

Blanchet House

RBC Portland has been proud to volunteer at Blanchet House packing sack lunches and serving lunch and dinner to hundreds of our fellow community members in need of a warm meal. Blanchet House is a nonprofit organization located in downtown Portland, OR. Their mission is “To offer food, shelter, and aid to all those in need of a safe place to be nourished and restored. Assist the transformation of each life we touch with compassion and dignity.” They uphold their mission by providing a meal program, clothing program and residential program.
